Engineering Entrance Exam AIEEE 2013(Now JEE-Main and JEE-Advance)

As we all know the New Pattern of AIEEE 2013 has led to scrapping of two exams AIEEE and IIT JEE. From year 2013 and onwards under the New Pattern of AIEEE 2013 to JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2013 will be conducted for admissions in Engineering Colleges. The first stage exam will be JEE Main 2013 which will be conducted both online and offline and will be the entry level examination for the NITs, IIITs and other state and Centrally Funded Institutions.

As we all know all eligible Applicants filled up the AIEEE 2013 witch called now JEE main 2013 Application Form in Online mode only.The test (Paper II of earlier AIEEE) for admissions to B.Arch/B.Planning courses at NITs, IIITs, DTU,Delhiand additional CFTIs will be occurred on 7th April, 2013 in offline exam only. JEE Mains(aieee 2013) and JEE Advance forms will have to be filled up separately.

It has been decided to hold a Joint Entrance Examination from the year 2013 for admission to the undergraduate programmes in Engineering in two parts, JEE-MAIN and JEE-ADVANCED. Only the top 150000(1.5 lakhs) candidates (including all categories) based on performance in JEE MAIN will qualify to appear in the JEE ADVANCED exam.

Admissions to IITs will be based only on category-wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE ADVANCED, here is a condition that those candidates,who  are in the top 20 percentile categories. Admission to NITs will be based on 40 % weightage for performance in Class XII board marks (normalized) and the remainder 60 % weightage would be given to performance in JEE Main and a combined All India Rank (AIR) would be decided accordingly.

Full details of AIEEE 2013(Now JEE 2013):

 Education qualification for AIEEE(JEE) 2013:                

  • The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE(MAIN) 2013 is that the candidate must have passed in final exam of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying exam.
  •  Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in 2013 may also appear in JEE(MAIN) 2013 provisionally.
  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Exam conducted by a recognized Board/University.
  • Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
  • Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or abroad recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
  • A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Exam conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
  • 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) or a State Board of Technical Education.
  •  H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
  • However, admission criteria in the concerned institution/university will be followed as prescribed by concerned university/institution and as per the guidelines & criteria prescribed by AICTE.

For JEE(Main):

  • Start of Online Application:  8 November,2012
  • Closing of Online Application: 15 December,2012
  • JEE (Main) Exam: 7 April,2013
  • Results of JEE (Main) Exam: 7 May,2013

For JEE(Advance):

  • Opening date of registration: 8 to 13 May,2013
  • Opening date to pay registration fee: 8  to 13 May,2013
  • Date to Download Admit cards by candidates:16  to 31 May,2013
  • Date of Exam: 2 June (Sunday),2013
  • Declaration of Results: 23 June,2013

For B.Arch./B.Planning:-

  • Opening date of Online registration: 24 to 25 June,2013
  • Date of Architecture Aptitude Test: 28 June,2013
  • Declaration of Architecture Aptitude Test results: 2 July, 2013

Pattern of Examination:

Paper I

Subjects:  Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

Type of Questions: Objective type questions with equal  weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

Duration:  3 Hours

Paper II

Subject: Mathematics – Part I , Aptitude Test – Part II  & Drawing Test – Part III

Types of questions:  Objective type questions for mathmatics- Part I, Objective type questions for Aptitude test- Part II and questions to test Drawing test- Part III.

Duration:  3 Hours

Scoring and Negative Marking

  • There will be objective type questions with four options having single correct answer.
  • For each incorrect response, one fourth (1/4) of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted.
  • No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if no response is indicated for an item in the answer sheet.

Note:

  1. Start preparing yourself two months before AIEEE 2013(JEE MAIN) Exam date. Admit cards will be dispatched four weeks before AIEEE 2013 exam date.
  2. If some one is unable to appear in AIEEE on the scheduled AIEEE 2013 exam date, then no re-examination shall be held in any situation.
  3. If the AIEEE 2013 exam date is declared as public holiday even in that case the AIEEE exam will be held as scheduled.
  4. AIEEE aspirants must be aware of exam pattern before AIEEE exam date.
  5. You can take the help of various sample papers, previous year papers which will tell you about the level of questions can be asked in the paper.
  6. AIEEE exam paper includes questions which have 4 options for students to choose the correct answer.
  7. Every correct response shall entail the full marks and wrong responses shall lead to the subtraction of 1/4th of the whole total marks allotted to that particular question.
  8. You can check your application status 45 days before the exam date.
  9. No need to get nervous if you had practice number of questions in last 2 months.
  10. Try to be cool and keep revising your concepts and formulas.
  11.  If you want to crack AIEEE, clear your concepts form NCERT textbooks and just stating practice till the AIEEE 2013 exam date.
